Alina Vladimirovna Yakovleva
Production Designer (Set Designer), Costume Designer – Theatre and Cinema
Born in Saint Petersburg, Russia.
Finished School of Russian Ballet at State Theatre of Children`s Ballet of the City of St. Petersburg, under the guidance of Irina. A. Safonova and Anatoly S. Nikiforov, major – Ballet Dancer, Choreographer.
As a ballet dancer participated in performances of Ballet Theatre to original choreography of Irina Safonova (“The Nutcracker”, music by by Pyotr I. Tchaikovsky, “The Sleeping Beauty” music by by Pyotr I. Tchaikovsky, etc.) on such grounds as St. Petersburg Mariinsky Theatre, Alexandrinsky Theatre, Hermitage Theatre, Music Theatre at Rimsky – Korsakov Conservatory, etc.
Together with the theatre company went on tour to Germany, Finland, France, Cyprus, China, Hungary, Mexico, Baltic States. Pupil of Alla E. Osipenko, People`s Artist of RSFSR. Had training at Konstantin Tachkin St. Petersburg Ballet Theatre, Together with the theatre company went on tour to the cities of Great Britain.
Graduated from St. Petersburg State Theatre Arts Academy, Russia, Faculty of Scenography and Theatrical Technology, Department of Scenography and Stage Costume, major: Theatre Production Designer, Theatre Set Designer. Workshop of Vladimir I. Firer, Honoured Artist of Russia. Defended Diploma Thesis with honours: Scenery and Costumes for “Carmen” Opera by Georges Bizet.
Since 2010 Member of the Russian Authors` Society (RAO)
Since 2012 Member of the Union of Artists of the Russian Federation.
Since 2017 Member of the Union of Theatrical Workers of the Russian Federation.
2017 – Winner of scholarship set up in support of young professionals in the sphere of culture and art for professional success from the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and the Union of Artists of the Russian Federation.
Since 2010 have been successfully working as Production Designer (Set Designer) and Costume Designer at various drama and music theatres of St. Petersburg and other cities of Russia.
Had international training on the specialty of Scenography and worked on production of “La Cenerentola, ossa La bonta in trionfo” (“Cinderella, or Triumph of Virtue”) Opera by Gioachino Rossini at the oldest music theatre of Vienna – “Theater an der Wien”, Vienna, Austria.
Since 2009 repeated participant of Art Exhibitions, including at Union of Artists of Russia, Union of Theatrical Workers of Russia, etc.
Works of the artist are kept at museum holdings of St. Petersburg State Theatre Arts Academy, Boris Eifman St. Petersburg State Academic Ballet Theatre and in private collections.
